Digital Classroom

Technology is entwined in almost every part of our lives. Integrating technology into the classroom is a great way to diversify learning styles. The plethora of information available online allows teachers to create customized materials for classes. Classrooms at JVPS are equipped with ‘Smart Boards’.

It is a virtual platform that provides us with content in the form of slides, animation, interactive quiz and videos. This individualization and personalization of course content enables the teacher to work to her/his students; strengths and provide a more customized approach to curricular development and delivery of content that is beyond the textbook.

Science & Maths Labs

Separate Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics labs has been set up, to enrich the teaching at the senior secondary level. The “learning by doing” approach is practiced here to the fullest and students are made to work on projects and activities, to highlight the relevance of various subjects.

The labs also encourage group learning among children. It seeks to dispel the fear of Math and science and thus complements classroom learning. Vatikans not only study the various concepts but they also get a glimpse of the life of a scientist and mathematician, learn about his background and learning strategies.

Computer Lab

School has computer laboratory with 30 computers which are accessible to students. It has advanced infrastructure in terms of hardware and upgraded software to cater to the requirements of the students, teachers and the curriculum.

The school is equipped with a dedicated Lease Line Internet connection for enterprising students to do comprehensive research for their projects and presentations.

Library

A library is the heart and soul of every institution. At JVPS, a well-furnished and well stacked library managed by qualified librarians. A variety of books are available for all age groups.

Reading habits are inculcated in Vatikans right from the primary level where they are encouraged to read on their own using various reading techniques such as phonics and sight words with the continuous guidance and support of the teacher. The library provides a collection of reference books like year books, encyclopedias, picture dictionaries etc. CBSE manuals are made available to teachers and they make use of the same.
